Peripherie
During the Peripherie show Nikolay Kozlov and Igor Dyachenko, genre allies and the driving forces behind the Epic Room sound design studio, explore an interpolation of various recordings, often at the margins of traditional formats and conventional music styles. Over the course of an hour, a long oscillation is formed from a selection of electroacoustic, ambient, cinematic and various field recordings.
The tenth episode of Peripherie is a reflection on the environment, human emotion and meaning, steeped in layered dreams, uneven heartbeats and extreme love.
Sound both fogged and fragmented, at the axis of interweaving cinematic landscapes and smooth ambient, peripheral echoes from words and meanings around us.
Memory and space, a transformative force of fluidity and a profound sense of belonging, coexist in an equally powerful state of disquietude.
Peripherie 05 is a set of microscopic reflections derived from environments such as wilderness, isolation, and inhabited settings, which functions as a medium for sense-making, scanning and absorption.

Joseph Kamaru, also known as KMRU, and Igor Dyachenko position the practice of listening, and hence the creation of sound, as a means of revitalizing the subjectivity shaped by sound structures. Their joint mix, filled with experimental music, ambient and drone, can be described as a powerful evocation of place that coexists with an equally potent sense of dislocation.
Embracing the flag, solace found in the unknown.
Ambient awareness, memory and location, the transformative power of fluidity and adaptation into sound art and cinematic soundscapes. Premiere of a monthly show, curated by Igor Dyachenko, a sound artist and film composer, working across sound research, installation, and sound design.
